Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace Classroom Course

This qualification provides a basic introduction to health and safety in the workplace.

Who needs this qualification? Anyone entering a workplace for the first time or changing jobs or roles.

How it works – A Four hour classroom training course with an online assessment to follow

Online Assessment

  • 20 multiple choice questions (30 minutes)
  • Pass mark 13 out of 20.
  • Results of online examinations available immediately
  • Certificates available to successful candidates within 7 working days.

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

This qualification is aimed at all employees and provides essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

Who needs this qualification? Anyone in a work environment. This qualification might be ideal for someone moving into a supervisory role.

  • The common causes of workplace accidents and ill-health
  • The process for carrying out a risk assessment
  • How risk assessments can be used to reduce accidents and ill-health
  • The risk control hierarchy
  • Risk controls for common workplace hazards
  • Arrangements for emergencies and first aid
  • The importance of recording all incidents, accidents and ill-health
  • Actions to be taken following an incident.

Classroom Course

How it works – This course is delivered over either a one or two day period which will include the online assessment at the end which is needed to gain the qualification.

Assessment

  • 30 multiple choice questions (45 minutes)
  • Pass mark 20 out of 30.
  • Results of online examinations issued immediately to centres
  • Certificates issued within 7 working days.
